Police arrest ‘FIFA man’ who arranged to have sex with 14-year-old boy

English: An English FIFA official was arrested while travelling to the United States on work. After allegedly meeting a 14-year-old boy for sex.

Jack Edward Coles, 39, was reportedly detained. By federal agents at a hotel near FIFA offices in Miami after attempting to meet the boy last week.

FIFA confirmed it was aware of the incident but stressed the allegations were a “personal matter” unrelated to Coles’ work as project manager at FIFA Sound. The governing body also confirmed. That Coles has been suspended with immediate effect.

The report also cited a police complaint which states that although Coles did not know the boy was 14, the teenager told him he was 16 when they spoke before they first met.

A statement from soccer’s top governing body on Wednesday said: “FIFA is aware of the ongoing legal proceedings in Miami. The alleged offences are serious and personal and have nothing to do with his work at FIFA.

“The individual has been suspended immediately and until further notice from all duties. FIFA has no further comment at this time.”
